On this release MM6 gives a big nod to Gary Louris and the Jay Hawks circa Rainy Day Music as well as Big Star a la September Girls on All Enough. Seems Like You Weren't Here and By Surprise leans back towards The Beatles, and Riverbrains is sprinkled with hints of The Grateful Dead and Wilco.
